Green Candle Dance Company is one of the UK’s leading dance company’s specialising in community dance. We are currently looking to expand our artist bank of freelance musicians and require experienced individuals who can accompany the lead dance teacher in the delivery of weekly sessions and/or one-off workshops.
We are looking for musicians to play in our classes for older dancers, therefore you must have a broad repertoire of music and have previous experience accompanying dance classes. Improvisation skills and vocals are desirable but not essential and you must bring your own instrument to the sessions. This is a unique chance to work in the health and wellbeing sector of the dance industry.
Due to the nature of the environment where the sessions take place, we expect the candidates to be open-minded and have a warm friendly persona. Candidates must have a current DBS certificate.
This is a paid position at a fee of £60 per session, inclusive of travel expenses.
