Green Candle Junior Dancers Green Candle Dance Company is pleased to announce the return of the Junior Dancers for Autumn 2006 Junior Dancers are an inclusive group for boys and girls of all abilities who love to dance! They meet every Tuesday at 4.00 - 5.30pm in the Dance Studio, Oxford House, Derbyshire Street , Bethnal Green, E2 6HG Term Dates 16th January until 27th March (no session on 13th February) A weekly session for local children aged between 8 and 13 years of age, Junior Dancers aims to give children the opportunity to experience creative dance within a safe and fun environment. The children will develop a greater movement ability, combat low self esteem, create new dances and improve their social skills while being lead by a community dance artist. There will also be opportunities for the group to perform for family and friends during the term. The company's overall aims for work with the Junior Dancers are to: expand horizons: lay foundations for positive involvement in constructive leisure activities, encourage commitment, build team work, develop skills, and offer experience which might lead towards a future career path. Membership Green Candle Junior Dancers is open to any child aged 8 - 13 years old living in Tower Hamlets. It is free for Tower Hamlets residents. There is no audition for the Junior Dancers; enrolment is on a rolling basis, and we maintain a waiting list for children who wish to join but do not have a place. All members of the Junior Dancers must attend all classes. If a child misses two sessions without explanation we will give their place to another young person on the waiting list.
