1993 – Sooki and the Kozzibimweh, a magical adaptation of a traditional tale from Zanzibar.

Sooki was created for 3-7 year olds and marked a return to the company’s origins with work for this age group. Tremendously popular amongst children and adults alike, responses to Sooki were dominated by comments on the great need for work specifically aimed at this age group; both in terms of developing new audiences for the arts and nurturing new skills – creative, physical and social.

“The experience for the whole school was excellent. The children were enthralled by the performance” – Deputy Head, Primary School, London

“The main ingredient was its total accessibility to the age group concerned, combined with a high professional standard of performance and set design. A totally delightful show” – Children’s Programmer, Ashcroft Arts Centre, Hampshire
