Education is an integral part of Green Candle’s work. The impetus and emphasis of our work is based on the creative, giving every participant the opportunity to explore and experiment with his/her own creativity and the support and technical skills to accomplish this. Green Candle is at the forefront in developing and delivering training programmes for dance practitioners, performers, choreographers, school teachers, physiotherapists, care workers and other health professionals to develop their skills in using dance within a variety of settings.

Green Candle offers INSET and training for teachers and dance artists to deliver dance at several levels including Early Years (Foundation Stage), KS1 and KS2 (Primary) and for children with special educational needs.
Training is often delivered as an adjunct to projects in schools and can be tailored to specific needs. Further details available on the INSET page.
Moving into Maturity A two day training workshop for people working with older people and people with dementia.
A professional development course for people who are working or intending to work with older people, such as dance artists, health care professionals and others, to introduce some of the key skills needed to lead dance sessions, both seated and standing, with older people and people with dementia.
