1991 – The Road Home told of the harrowing plight of refugees from different parts of the world and different times in history through four stories from Cyprus, the Middle East, Ireland and Eastern Europe. In this painfully topical production the company developed its particular skill for telling stories at the same time as realising its long standing objective of incorporating a professional dancer with a physical disability into the touring company.
It sparked a new language of choreography and a myriad of different creative possibilities and provoked intense responses.
