Is seeking a permanent part-time
Community Dance Artist
with significant experience and skills in leading dance with older people with and without physical disabilities or cognitive impairments and in working with children and young people in mainstream Primary and Secondary schools, with and without physical and learning disabilities.
The post involves practical teaching, facilitating and choreographing dance with all the above groups, as well as fostering, developing and managing new and existing projects and partnerships. The work will also include related project planning, administration and evaluation.
The post is for 2 full days a week between Tuesdays and Fridays, dependent on the company’s schedule, and is a permanent role commencing the week of 4th January 2016.
Candidates will be selected by interview, submission of sample project plan and teaching audition.
Closing date for applications: 12 noon, Monday 30th November 2015
Interviews will be on Tuesday 8th December 2015
Teaching auditions will be held on 14th – 17th December 2015
Successful interview applicants only will be asked to submit an example project plan (guidelines will be provided to selected applicants on confirmation of interview)
Salary: £22,000 pro rata for 2 days per week
Holiday: 25 days pro rata paid holiday per annum in addition to Bank Holidays
